The joy I feel when spring’s first wildflowers burst on the scene is not unique to me; doesn’t everyone get a little happy-boost when yellows and pinks start pushing through the greenery?

Most of these photos were taken on my daily lockdown walks in south Somerset, sunny moments in bewildering times. As with all my nature photography, I use only natural light and leave the flowers where I find them
